Update - August 4 2024

It's been a long while since I took this photo. So much has changed. The two dear labs who visited this spot with me on that day are gone. I have another lab, Willoughby, a perfectly lovely, gentle girl who loves everything she sees, whether for the first or the 100th time. For the year we're living near where this was taken, and hope as the seasons change we'll capture more of the same beautiful countryside. I see things differently now, appreciate them more, love them more. I'm somewhat of a stranger here...people I knew left to be married, some divorced, a few sold their homes for big profits during the pandemic.

The drive to a recently discovered village takes me through winding country roads. The other morning I saw this little group in what seemed a loving kinship...the only sheep member leading the pack, looking back making sure no one was left behind.

As I approached they ran to greet me...our visit included lots of head nodding and wide eyes. A cherished moment...I returned to my car, treasure in hand.
